Par Pirmās formulas (F-1) pasaules čempionāta ceturtā posma - Ķīnas "Grand Prix" - sacensību uzvarētāju svētdien kļuva brits Lūiss Hamiltons no "Mercedes" vienības, bet otrais bija viņa komandas biedrs vācietis Niko Rosbergs.
Tādejādi "Mercedes" vienībai ir izdevies uzvarēt visos četros šosezon aizvadītajos posmos, turklāt iegūt jau trešā dubultuzvara pēc kārtas.
Tikmēr uz goda pjedestāla zemākā pakāpiena stājās spānis Fernando Alonso no "Ferrari".
Hamiltons, kurš sestdien triumfēja arī kvalifikācijas sacensībās, sacensības sāka pārliecinoši, startā nosargājot pirmo vietu, bet pēc pirmā apļa viņa pārsvars pār tuvākajiem sekotājiem bija jau vairāk nekā pusotra sekunde. Tikmēr uz otro un trešo vietu izdevās pacelties attiecīgi pašreizējam pasaules čempionam vācietim Sebastjanam Fetelam no "Red Bull" un Alonso, kamēr Rosbergs no ceturtās pozīcijas atkrita uz septīto.
Sacīkstes turpinājumā Alonso izdevās pakāpties jau uz otro vietu, taču konkurentiem arvien neaizsniedzamāks kļuva Hamiltons, turpinot palielināt savu pārsvaru pār pārējiem. Savukārt 22.aplī noritēja cīņa par trešo vietu, kurā Rosbergam izdevās apsteigt Fetelu un uzsākt pakaļdzīšanos Alonso, kuru vācietis apdzina 41.aplī.
Pa to laiku ne pārāk labi veicās arī Fetelam, kurš bija spiest piekāpties arī komandas biedra austrālieša Daniela Rikjardo priekšā, noslīdot jau uz piekto pozīciju, šajā vietā arī sasniedzot finišu.
Tikmēr sestajā pozīcijā finišēja vācietis Niko Hilkenbergs no "Force India" komandas, kamēr septītais bija "Williams" pilots Valteri Botass no Somijas, kuram sekoja viņa tautietis Kimi Raikonens no "Ferrari".
Vettel ignores team orders, telling team “tough luck”
Sebastian Vettel endured a difficult Chinese Grand Prix today in Shanghai as he could only bring his Red Bull home in fifth place, finishing some 24 seconds behind teammate Daniel Ricciardo. However, he did turn some heads when he flouted team orders and refused to let his faster teammate through after the first round of stops.
Ricciardo was far quicker than Vettel in the race, but a poor start meant that he trailed his illustrious teammate. However, he soon closed after pitting, and was clearly quicker than the German driver. Red Bull gave Vettel the order to let Ricciardo past, but he quickly challenged it.
“What tires is he on?” Vettel asked his engineer, Rocky. When he was told that they were on the same tires and therefore the same strategy, he then refused to let Ricciardo past. “Tough luck” was the impetuous call from Vettel, who inferred that if Ricciardo was going to gain the position, he would have to overtake him without any assistance.
Lūk dažas atsauksmes par Feteli:
-Vettel isn't as good in a 'not so good' car as the likes of Hamilton and Alonso. He just got lucky with the car over the past seasons.
-So Vettel can't take team orders but can happily be on the other end of them. Wonder how he feels to be on the other side.
-Loving the irony of Vettel ignoring team orders and then being passed by his Australian teammate anyway.
-If Ricciardo is fast enough and skilled enough to pass Vettel anyway as he's proved, why the need for team orders?
-Just goes to show that it was only his car that made Vettel look amazing over the last 4 years. Accept the fact that you're not the best anymore Seb.
-Ricciardo doing what I thought, making Vettel look average.
-Anyone else thinks Vettel ignoring team orders might have prevented Ricciardo from finishing in third place? Slow cars must give way.
-Truth is out, Vettel an average driver in an average car and is a spoilt brat. Is he really worth the four titles?
